Who We Are
The business started back in 1969 when Noreen Barnes opened a bookshop in Leiston, and even though it has not sold books for over 10 years, many people still call our Leiston branch the ‘Bookshop’. The shop flourished and she started to diversify from books into stationery. Things continued to grow and it was not long before her husband Bob gave up his ‘day job’ and started to work full time in the business. A second shop was opened in Framlingham a few years later and with 2 busy shops it was an easy step from retail stationery into commercial office supplies. The current owner, Paul Rosher, acquired the business in January 2000 and undertook to develop the business further. All this longevity counts for something, after nearly 50 years of trading we’d like to think we have learned a lot about office supplies and all that experience and knowledge underpins the support we can give our customers. Our longest serving member of staff has been with us for nearly 30 years.
‘Localism’ is very on-trend at the moment but we believe it should be more than just a word. The more thriving, independent businesses there are in a local area, the more vibrant and sustainable its economy will be. Our mission is to play our part by offering local businesses a supply option that is better than the big-name alternatives. We do this by matching or beating their prices and then adding a level of service that demonstrates just how much we care about our customers.
